Point of  View

Hi! I’m James the Spider! I found a class in Ruapotaka School. It is kind of smelly but soooo…. much space. I see from my home that I’m in Room 1. I see that there are maybe about 27 students. Gasp! I heard the bell! It’s so loud, especially the kids. Now it’s become dark in the classroom and everyone is playing. AWWWWW……  I want to play but the class has to stay in for one minute since they were so loud. Oh! Some little kids are coming in and going across the room to play in the corridor. UGH! It’s now the end of the day (my fav part of the day) I save a little bigback named Lilyan. She’s so loud, I know she hangs out with some of the girls. DING DING DING!!! It’s home time! Everyone is leaving and now it’s sleep for me.

Camp Memories (2)

Another one of my memories was when we were Kayaking. We were supposed to follow the instructor and I was gliding through the water like Moana. We had to go to the Other side of the beach and we had a game at the end of the session of who can kayak all the way back without stopping and it was hard but we still managed to do it and we were so happy we finished but we did not like the pain in our hands from paddling.

Camp Memories

One of my favorite memories at Camp was when we were doing Archery. I was in Mighty Snakes with a few other friends and we had to learn how to shoot a bow and arrow. But we were splitted in 2 groups of 4. But one time we went for our turn then all of a sudden… one person in my group shot a bullseye! We were so happy for him, while we were shooting at the red area, blue, or maybe missed. Then a few turns later it was our turn then Me and Mrs T got a bullseye! and we were so joyful. It was a competition of who got the most points depending on where we shot. We were so happy and were making strategies for the last person in our group. We were cheering and supporting him so that he could shoot a bullseye. We were all so confused how to shoot and even load the arrow but we used a technique. We tried breathing in and out before shooting and we were confident to get a bullseye.

Term Goals

My goal for this term is to try to get the “School Dux” or any massive award. I would want to try and get it because It will show that I am responsible and resilient in Year 7 . I would like to have a big award because I want my parents to be proud of me and happy that I showed leadership and responsibility to all areas. If I wanted to achieve my goal, I would have to be acing all my subjects, tests, for example ( Being in Prime 6 or 5, being responsible and actually knowing what to do.) But I am in Prime 3. Last year, My goal came true and I cannot believe my eyes right now. I became a… PREFECT! When Mrs Haamilton “Our Principal” called me and another friend to her office and as soon as we arrived there she was happy and that was the time that she told us that we were a Prefect. That is why my goal is to get the School Dux.

Speech.

  1. Malo e lelei, Kia ora, and welcome, My name is James and My speech is about the Kingdom of Tonga. Tongan is an amazing and remarkable place you can ever imagine like the hot blazing weather, the adorable dogs , and the funny people. If you visit Tonga, I recommend to go to the beach because of it’s beautiful view of the sun and the water is phenomenal with the hot weather
  2. Did you know that Tonga is 3000 years old? Tonga has many islands to visit like Nukualofa and villages! In Tonga there is 170 islands. Tonga is found in the South Pacific Ocean, the east of Austrailia, north of NZ, south of Samoa, and the west of Cook Islands. Tonga is part of a region known as Oceania. The person who found Tonga is named Jacob Le Maire. Jacob was the first European to find Tonga Islands in 1616.
  3. If you are visiting Tonga soon or maybe next year, make sure you find something that can cool you off from the hot weather, and ALOT of bug spray because mosquitos are everywhere in Tonga. Also if you are visiting Tonga, make sure you shop in the villages more than Citys because it’s more cheaper, fresh, better quality, and you would be helping the village.
  4. I think Tonga is a beautiful and tropical island for you to visit. This is our final destination to my speech. Thank you everyone for being my audience. Malo Aupito:)
